It is important to use a safe, reputable site when you are searching for information about your famous Alabamian. Google might be faster, but it isn't always the best option! We are going to use tools that are specific to our state for this project, all found in the Alabama Virtual Library.
Go to the Alabama Virtual Library and use some of the databases for elementary level students to perform a search for information about your famous Alabamian. Those databases include: Biography Reference Bank, Kids Infobits, Britannica Elementary, KidsSearch, Britannica Learning Zone, Searchasaurus, SIRS Discoverer, and Encyclopedia of Alabama. Choose whatever databases you like. Your goal is to make a list of 8 facts about your famous Alabamian, and CITE YOUR SOURCE!
*Remember to record the facts/important events about your person IN ORDER!
When your research is complete and your teacher AND Mrs. Wilson have signed off on your form, you may click on this website and complete your timeline. Print it to the network printer when you are finished.
